Fiery Honan Beef Recipe
Ingredients
| Lean beef | 1 Pound, thinly sliced | |
| Soy sauce | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sherry | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm) | |
| Oil | 3 Tablespoon | |
| 2 Bunches Scallions or Green Onion Tops, in 1" lengths | ||
| Carrots | 1 Cup (16 tbs), thinly sliced | |
| Celery | 2 Cup (16 tbs), thinly sliced | |
| Ground ginger | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Hot pepper flakes | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 2 - 6 Oz. Cans Button Mushrooms, whole | ||
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Blanched almonds | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Mix beef, soy sauce, sherry and garlic.
Let stand at room temperature for 1 hour.
In large skillet, heat oil until it sizzles.
Add beef mixture and stir-fry until brown.
Add 1 cup water; simmer with lid on for 10 to 15 minutes, or until meat is tender.
Add remaining ingredients, except pepper flakes.
Cook until vegetables are terider but crisp.
Add pepper flakes until they are the way you like it.
They are very hot, so add a few at a time.
