Delectable Fettuccine Alfredo Recipe

Add salt and the fettuccine and cook at a rapid boil for about 9 minutes until al dente.
Drain the pasta in a colander and return it to the still-warm cooking pot.
Pour the melted butter over the fettuccine and toss with two large spoons until the strands are coated.
Sprinkle on the Parmesan, pour in the cream and toss again until the pasta is coated with the smooth, creamy sauce.
Season with the salt, pepper and nutmeg, and taste for seasoning.
The dish may need more salt, depending on the saltiness of the Parmesan.
