Festive Sausage Rolls Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 lb/450 g pork sausage meat | ||
| Horseradish | 3 Teaspoon, creamed | |
| Chopped herbs | 2 Tablespoon, mixed | |
| Ground black pepper | 1 To taste | |
| 1 lb/450 g puff pastry | ||
| 1 egg, size 3, beaten | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
Directions
Preheat oven to Gas 6, 400°F, 200°C, 15 mins before baking the sausage rolls.
Mix sausage meat with horseradish, herbs, salt and pepper.
Roll pastry to a rectangle 6 in x 16 in/15 cm x 40 cm.
Shape sausage meat roll to the same length and 1 in/ 2.5 cm in width.
Place in middle of pastry and roll pastry around.
Seal with water.
Cut into 1 1/2 in/4 cm lengths.
Slash the tops and place on greased baking tray.
Brush with beaten egg.
Bake in oven for 20-25 mins.
