Fennel Bread Recipe
Over the years I have mastered the art of making Fennel Bread which I was taught by my family elders. I prepare this yum Fennel Bread as a Main Dish every month or even more often. Is it you or the aroma of Fennel Bread that you happen to be making that has dragged me in the direction of the kitchen?, were my partner's words.
Ingredients
1 loaf frozen dark rye bread dough, thawed
2 tsp fennel seed, crushed
2 tsp artificial bacon bits
Directions
Roll out the dough on an unfloured surface.
Sprinkle with fennel seed and artificial bacon bits.
Knead for 5 minutes.
Form into a loaf and place in a greased bread pan; or make into rolls as described in Easy Rolls.
Cover and allow to rise until more than double in size.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes or until done.
