Fast Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

Ingredients

 
2 envelopes yeast
 
2 1/2 cups warm water
 
1 (2 layer) package yellow cake mix
 
41/2 cups flour
 
1 cup packed brown sugar
 
1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
 
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Directions

Dissolve the yeast in the warm water in a large bowl.
Stir in dry cake mix and flour.
Knead for about a minute or until smooth and elastic.
Roll to 1/4 inch thickness and spread with a mixture of the brown sugar, cinnamon and chopped pecans.
Roll as for a jelly roll and cut into 1/2 inch slices.
Butter a 10x15 inch cake pan and sprinkle with additional brown sugar.
Arrange the rolls over the brown sugar layer.
Let rise until doubled in bulk.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden.
Spread with frosting if desired.
