Farm Boys Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients
1 pound golden raisins
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 cup water
1 cinnamon stick
3 1/2 cups sweet white wine
1/2 cup vodka
Directions
Wash the raisins in hot water and drain.
Place the sugar and water in a saucepan and heat, stirring, until the sugar is dissolved.
Add the cinnamon stick and raisins and cook over very low heat until the raisins are plump.
Remove the raisins with a slotted spoon and place in a bottle with an air tight lid.
Boil the liquid down for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
Remove the cinnamon stick and pour the syrup over the raisins.
Cool thoroughly, add the wine and vodka and seal the bottle.
Let the drink mellow at least 3 months before serving.
