Farali Pattice Recipe

Ingredients
500 gms boiled and mashed potatoes
2-3 Tbl. sp. araroot
Salt to taste.
Mix the above ingredients together, divide into 20 portions and
keep aside.
FOR FILLING
50 gms roasted and coarsely ground peanuts
1 Cup fresh grated coconut
1 Tbl. sp. garam masala and khus khus
1-1/2 Tsp. sugar
1/8 Tsp. citric acid or a squeeze of lime
1 Cup chopped fresh corriander leaves
Salt to taste
Mix together all the above mentioned ingredients.
Directions
Stuff each ball with 1 tbl.

Roll into a smooth ball.
Roll in araroot.
Deep fry in smoking hot oil Serve hot with either mint or sweet chutney.
ANOTHER KIND OF FILLING CAN BE : 50 gms roasted coarsely chopped peanuts 100 gms very fine barik sev 1 chopped onion 3 Green chillies 5-6 Flakes garlic 1/2 Cup mint and corriander leaves finely chopped Ginger piece, garam masala, sugar, lemon juice and salt to taste.
METHOD Heat 1 tbl.

oil, add chopped onion and paste of green chillies, garlic and ginger.
Cook till soft.
Add all the other ingredients Mix well.
Remove from the stove.
Cool.
Divide into 20 equal parts and make pattice as mentioned earlier.
