Far East Spareribs Recipe
Ingredients
| 3 to 4 lbs. pork spareribs | ||
| Honey | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Soy sauce | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), crushed | |
| 1/4 cup hoisin sauce | ||
| Dry mustard | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Have your butcher cut ribs crosswise.
Cut between bones to separate ribs.
In a large saucepan, cover cut ribs with lightly salted water.
Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
Drain; set aside.
In a small bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, hoisin sauce and mustard; set aside.
Preheat broiler if necessary.
Place oven rack 5 to 8 inches from heating element.
Place a rack in a broiler pan or on a large baking sheet with raised sides.
Arrange cooked ribs in single layer on rack.
Brush ribs with sauce; broil until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
Turn meat, brush with sauce and broil on other side about 2 minutes until golden brown.
Arrange broiled ribs on a large platter; serve warm.
