Ingredients
| Flour | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cream of tartar | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Ghee | 100 Gram | |
| Brown sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Blanched almonds | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Soda bicarbonate | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Fine sugar - 1 cup | ||
| Milk | 3 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Vanilla essence | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1 Preheat the oven to 350F.
2 Lightly grease a baking tray.
MAKING
3 In a bowl, sift the flour, soda bicarbonate, cream of tartar and salt together.
4 In another bowl, cream the ghee, sugar and brown sugar until fluffy.
5 Add in the milk.
6 Gradually fold in the sifted ingredients.
7 Add in the essence and 2/3 almonds.
8 Knead gently.
9 Take small amounts of the dough and shape into round balls.
10 Place them on the prepared baking tray about 5 cm apart from each other.
11 Lightly dust the bottom of a glass with flour.
12 Using this glass, flatten the balls to 1 cm thickness.
13 On each biscuit, place half an almond.
14 Bake in a moderately hot oven for 15 minutes.
15 Allow to cool.

16 Serve as a tea time snack
