Family-Style Swiss Cheese Fondue Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Flour | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Garlic salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper white | 1 Dash | |
| Dash nutmeg | ||
| Milk | 2 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), scalded | |
| 1 pound process Swiss cheese, shredded | ||
| Worcestershire sauce | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Dash of Tabasco sauce | ||
| Dry white wine | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Kirsch | 2 Tablespoon | |
| French bread, cut in 1 inch cubes | ||
Directions
Melt butter or margarine in ceramic fondue pot over a moderate direct heat.
Stir in next 5 ingredients.
Stir in milk; cook, stirring constantly until sauce is smooth and thickened slightly.
Lower heat.
Add cheese, a small amount at a time and stir until cheese is melted after each addition.
Stir in remaining ingredients except bread.
To serve let each guest spear a crust-edged cube of bread with fondue fork and twirl bread in cheese mixture until coated.
Drain, cool, and eat.
