Cake flour- 2 1/2 cups, sifted
 
Salt- 1/2 teaspoon
 
Baking powder- 2 teaspoons
 
Butter- 1/2 cup
 
Sugar- 1 1/2 cups
 
Eggs- 2, beaten
 
Vanilla- 1/2 teaspoon
 
Nuts- 2/3 cup, chopped fine

Directions

GETTING READY
1.Start by preheating the oven to 350 F degrees
MAKING
2.In a bowl, sift flour, salt and baking powder together
3.Cream butter with sugar
4.Add beaten eggs, flavoring and sifted ingredients
5.Add a few drops of water, if necessary, to make dough of a consistency to spread smoothly on chilled greased baking sheet
6.Spread dough not more than 1/8 inch thick
7.Sprinkle with chopped nuts
8.Bake in moderate oven until browned
9.Once baked completely, remove and cut into 3x1 1/2 inch strips and roll in small cylinders over rolling pin or handle of wooden spoon
SERVING
10.Serve with cream or chocolate sauce
