 1 lb. seeded raisins
 Currants1 Pound
 Seedless raisins1 Pound
 Peel1 Pound, mixed
 Suet1 Pound
 1 loaf bread, broken into crumbs (crusts removed)
 Eggs6
 1 1/2 to 2 bottles ale, enough to moisten
 Nutmeg1 Teaspoon, grated
 Cinnamon1 Teaspoon
 Allspice1 Teaspoon
 1 tablespoon almond flavoring

Directions

Wash and dry fruit, and flour it.
Chop peel, suet, and crumb bread.
Mix together.
Beat eggs well and add spices and ale.
Grease bowls well, pack pudding in tightly, cover with waxed paper and tie in cloth.
Steam 6 to 7 hours - less if done in small bowls
