Ingredients

 Butter/Margarine1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Sugar1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Water2 Tablespoon
 1 tablespoon light com syrup
 Walnuts1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 4 oz. sweet cooking chocolate

Directions

Lightly butter a cookie sheet; set aside.
In a 2-quart saucepan, melt butter or margarine.
Add sugar, water and corn syrup.
Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture reaches soft-crack stage or 290°F (143°C) on a candy thermometer.
Remove from heat; quickly add 1/2 cup chopped walnuts.
Spread about 1/4 inch thick on prepared cookie sheet.
Cool thoroughly.
Melt chocolate; cool slightly.
Spread over cooled candy.
Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup chopped walnuts.
Refrigerate until firm.
Break into small pieces.
