1/3 cup water

1/2 teaspoon ground allspice

1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

3 tablespoons golden raisins

3 tablespoons slivered almonds

Confectioners' Icing

Directions

1 Combine 2 cups flour and yeast in a mixing bowl. Heat water, allspice, caraway seeds, nutmeg, butter, salt, and sugar to hot (120°€” 130°F).

5 Punch down dough. Shape into round loaf. Place on greased baking sheet.
6 Cover; let rise in warm place until double€”about 45 minutes. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven about 45€”55 minutes or until done.
