Endive With Swiss Cheese Recipe

Ingredients

| 12 small heads Belgian endive | ||
| Swiss Cheese | 1/2 pound, shredded | |
| Butter/Margarine | 4 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Half and Half | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
1. In 12-inch skillet over high heat, in 1/2 inch boiling water, heat endive to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 10 minutes.
2. Preheat oven to 350°F. Arrange 6 endive heads in 12" by 8" baking dish; sprinkle with half of cheese and dot with half of butter or margarine; sprinkle lightly with salt. Repeat. Pour half-and-half over all.
3. Bake 10 to 15 minutes, until cheese melts. Turn oven control to broil; place dish under broiler for about 3 minutes or until cheese is golden brown and bubbling.
