Ingredients

 
20 oz. pineapple chunks, packed in juice (reserve the juice)
 
16 oz. sliced peaches, fresh or canned, unsweetened
 
1 tsp saffloweroil
 
4 tsp slivered almonds
 
1 tsp lemon juice
 
5 tsp unsweetened pineapple juice (from the can of pineapples)

Directions

Drain the canned fruits and save the juice.
Drop the fruit into a serving bowl and refrigerate.
Heat the oil in a small frying pan; add the almonds and cook gently, stirring until they are lightly browned.
Remove from the heat and let cool.
Add the lemon juice and pineapple juice to the almonds and stir; toss over fruit.
Refrigerate until serving time.
