| 4 beef tenderloin steaks, cut 1/2 inch thick | ||
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Brandy | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Dairy sour cream | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Catsup | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce | ||
| 2 drops bottled hot pepper sauce | ||
| Dash ground thyme | ||
Directions
In skillet brown the steaks in butter on both sides to desired doneness, 6 to 8 minutes for medium-rare. (Electric skillet 350°.)
Remove from heat and spoon 2 tablespoons brandy over steaks.
Place steaks on warm platter and keep hot while making sauce.
Combine sour cream, catsup, salt, Worcestershire, hot pepper sauce, thyme, and the remaining brandy; add to same skillet.
Heat, stirring constantly, just till hot.
Spoon some sauce over steaks; pass remainder.
