El Cheapo Crepes Recipe
These El Chepo Crepes are terrific ! These flavorful hamburger crepe bakes make a good meal ! Try these El Chepo Crepes and let me know if you like them !
Ingredients
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 lb. hamburger
4 tbsp. Fleishmann's Margarine
4 tbsp. flour
2 cups milk or light cream
Salt
Pepper nutmeg
Harvey's Shooting Sherry
12 strips pimientos enough batter to make
6 crepes
Directions
In a little Fleischmann's Margarine, saute the onions and garlic in a frypan.
Add the meat and brown it.
Meanwhile, in a saucepan, heat the Fleischmann's Margarine, add the flour stirring until mixture is well combined.
Remove from heat and whip in milk.
Return to heat and continue to stir and cook until mixture is thickened.
Add salt and pepper, nutmeg and sherry to taste.
Stir 1/4 cup of the sauce into meat mixture in frypan.
Spoon the mixture on to centre of each crepe and roll them up.
Secure with toothpicks.
Grease an ovenproof serving dish and place crepes, each decorated with 2 strips of pimiento, in the dish.
Pour the remaining sauce over and bake in oven at 350° until bubbling about 20 mins.
