Ingredients

 
1/4 cup barley flour
 
1/4 cup buckwheat flour
 
1/4 cup corn flour
 
1/4 cup millet flour
 
1/4 cup rice flour
 
1/4 cup rye flour
 
1/4 cup wheat flour
 
3 teaspoons baking powder
 
1 teaspoon salt
 
2 cups milk
 
4 tablespoons melted margarine or oil
 
2 eggs, separated

Directions

Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl.
In a separate bowl, blend together milk, melted margarine or oil, and egg yolks.
Add liquid ingredients to dry ingredients, and blend.
Beat the egg whites until stiff.
Fold gently into batter.
Bake in a hot waffle iron until brown.
NOTE: If all of the specified flours are not available, increase the proportions of the other flours.
