Eight Layer Salad Recipe
Ingredients
| Iceberg lettuce | 6 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Torn romaine lettuce | 8 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 6 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled | ||
| Red onion | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Frozen green peas package | 1 , thawed | |
| Red bell pepper | 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Water chestnuts | 1 Can (10oz), drained | |
| Sharp cheddar cheese | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 3/4 cup reduced-fat mayonnaise | ||
| 3/4 cup reduced-fat sour cream | ||
Directions
Combine lettuces in a 4-quart bowl, toss well. Layer crumbled bacon and next 5 ingredients on top of lettuce. Combine mayonnaise, sour cream and dressing mix in a small bowl, stir well. Spread dressing over top of salad, sealing to edge of bowl. Cover and chill up to 24 hours.
