Eggs au Gratin Recipe

Butter casserole well.
Butter two slices of white bread.
Place buttered side down and add 1/4 to 1 lb. sharp cheese grated.
Beat 4 eggs slightly, and add 1 1/2 cups of milk.
Pour over bread and cheese.
Add salt, pepper and paprika.
Let stand at least 1 hour.
Bake 30 minutes at 375° until knife comes out clean.
