Eggs En Croute Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 thick slices French or Italian bread | ||
| Butter | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), melted | |
| Eggs | 4 standard | |
| Salt, pepper to taste | ||
| 1 cup cheese sauce or tomato sauce | ||
Directions
Scoop a small hollow out of center of each bread slice and discard.
Dip each slice in melted butter and place on baking sheet.
Break an egg into each hollow.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Bake in a preheated 325°F oven until eggs are set.
