Eggnog Holiday Salad Recipe
Ingredients
| Fruit cocktail | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| 2 envelopes plain gelatin | ||
| Mandarin oranges | 1 Can (10oz), cut in half | |
| Flaked coconut | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 1/2 cups dairy eggnog | ||
| Dash of nutmeg | ||
Directions
Drain fruit, saving juice.
Soften gelatin in juice and melt over hot water.
Combine with rest of ingredients.
Turn into 5-cup mold and chill until firm.
This is very good to serve from Thanksgiving to New Years when eggnog is available.
Has a delicious taste.
When serving at Christmastime, a few extra maraschino cherries cut in half may be added.
The extra red color makes it look more festive."
