Egg Pie Recipe
Ingredients
4 egg whites
1 c. fine white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. vinegar
1/2 pt. whipping cream
Directions
1. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.
2. Continue beating, then gradually beat in sugar.
3. Continue beating, and add vanilla, cornstarch and vinegar.
4. Line a medium pie plate with tin foil.
5. Grease foil well with margarine.
6. Sprinkle generously with cornstarch.
7. Pour contents in pan. It will be a mound.
8. Place in pre-heated 350° oven for 5 minutes.
9. Turn temperature to 150° and allow pie to remain in oven for 2 hours.
10. Turn oven off, and leave pie in closed oven to cool.
11. When cool, cut into 8 slices and cover with whipped cream. Allow to stand like this overnight.
