Evil Protein Cookie Recipe Video

These cookies earned their name for a reason - I was absolutely addicted to them. I suppose there are worse things to be addicted to but how sad is it to be addicted to protein powder! I hesitated in doing this video because I don't want anyone to overeat them, but if they keep you from eating a real cookie then I can live with that. Just please, please, please don't overeat these or make a habit out of them. And if you think they are stalling you, by all means stop eating them! By the way, people either love these cookies or hate them! The texture is a bit odd and for some, they just aren't "cookies" but they are so much better for you than regular cookies that they are good if you need a cookie fix!

Editors Review

Evil Protein cookie is definitely the right name the chef has given; as it runs with a disclaimer that you can get addicted to this. Coming from Amy we expect it to be healthy and it is so much better than the regular cookie and the calories they pack! But very rightly said, eating more of these can definitely put your carb status high!

I used Dymatize Elite Gourmet Chocolate Whey Protein. Also, no spray marg. here, so I melted the regular I Can't Believe... Also, no splenda in the house, so used real sugar. Even so, these are way healthier than regular cookies. Also, texture was dry, but this is definitely good enough to curb a cookie and chocolate fix in one. GREAT RECIPE! I can't wait to mod this one some more with experimenting.

What is the net carb count on a serving? I am keeping track of my carbs and try not to eat anything if I don't have the count. Thanks!

These are really good! I have experimented with this recipe and made peanut butter protein cookies by subbing the I can't believe its not butter with peanut butter and omitting the splenda. Yum! I've also added mini choco chips. You can also make them with different flavors of protein powder but I have found I like the french vanilla the best.

You suspect correctly about the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Sparay. 10 sprays is 0 calories true, BUT If something seems too good to be true, it often is. "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" spray has ZERO calories if you use just a few spritzes. However, if you do what most of us do and spray like there's no tomorrow, you can rack up calories and fat grams pretty quickly. Here's the scoop: 12.5 sprays is 10 calories and 1 gram of fat, 25 sprays (1 teaspoon) is 20 calories and 2 grams of fat, and 37.5 sprays is 30 calories and 3 grams of fat. In case you're curious, the entire bottle contains 900 calories and 90 grams of fat! YIKES! Obviously, when it comes to this stuff, stick with spraying as opposed to pouring. There is a recipe on the South Bach Diet for Faux Mashed Potatoes that calls for well cooked mashed cauliflower. Really good, BUT it calls for 1 ounce of ICBINB and is 1/8 of the spray bottle OPPS! That is a lot of fat grams. A few sprays are great, but beware.
