Easy Turkey Stew Recipe
Ingredients
| Whole tomatoes | 1 Can (10 oz) | |
| Corn oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Sliced onion | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5 gm), minced | |
| Chicken broth | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Dark corn syrup | 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
| Dried thyme leaves | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Cooked turkey | 3 Cup (48 tbs), cut in 1 inch cubes | |
| Frozen peas | 10 Ounce (1 Package) | |
| Orange peel piece | 1 | |
| Cornstarch | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Water | 3 Tablespoon |
Directions
Drain and cut tomatoes in half, reserving liquid.
Heat corn oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
Add onion and garlic; saute 5 minutes.
Stir in tomatoes and liquid, chicken broth, corn syrup, thyme and salt; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
Add turkey, peas and orange peel; simmer 10 minutes.
Mix cornstarch and water until smooth; stir into turkey mixture.
Stirring constantly, bring to a boil over medium heat; boil 1 minute.
