Roasted Butter Chicken Recipe Video
Roasted chicken with fresh herbs is a classic recipe that never goes out of taste. This easy to prepare chicken recipe makes a great and healthy meal for lunch or dinner. Caitlin shows you the easy and simple way to fix this herb roasted chicken.
Ingredients
Whole chicken
Herbs (rosemary, thyme etc), 1 tbsp
Butter
Directions
Mix the herbs with the butter evenly in a bowl.
Take the chicken and remove the giblet bag.
Loosen the skin from the body slightly, using your hands.
Grease the butter generously on your hands and spread it thoroughly on the chicken under the skin. Do it till you can more or less see the green of the herbs through/under the skin.
Spread the butter on the skin and down the sides too.
Place the chicken on the roasting pan.
Arrange some vegetables around it, if desired.
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
For chicken allow 20 minutes of cook time per pound.
Cook it an internal temperature of 180 F. (the internal temperature of cooked chicken)
Carve and serve!
