Ingredients

 
Pita bread - 1
 
Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
 
Sea salt - 1 teaspoon
 
Freshly ground black pepper - to taste
 
Dried herbs de provence - 1 teaspoon
 
Garlic clove - 1, finely chopped

Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat the oven to 400°F.
2) Slice each pita bread into 8 wedges, cut along edge of each wedge to make two single layers.

MAKING
3) Place the triangles in a single layer on a lined cookie sheet.
4) In a bowl, combine olive oil, salt, pepper, herbs and garlic together.
5) Lightly brush each pita triangle with the olive oil mixture.
6) Place in the preheated oven for 5 to 7 mins. Repeat with additional pita breads to increase number of servings.
7) Remove to a wire rack and allow to cool.

SERVING
8) Serve right away or store in an air tight container to retain crispness.

I like to eat pita chips with home-made spicy hummus or by themselves with a little sea salt on top. I love pita chips. :) -Jojo

Another easy way is to spray the pitas with roasted garlic oil and sprinkle with herbs-Za'taar is great on pita. I make a fat free labni for dipping very healthy and serve with a few home cured olives. YUM!
