Directions

Cut onions into fine pieces and chillies length wise.

Grate carrot.

Heat Pressure Cooker with little Ghee or Oil. Add cloves and Bay Leaf. As they turn light brown in colour, add rice and fry for 2-5 minutes in low flame.

Remove Rice and keep it aside.

Heat the cooker again with little oil or Ghee. Now add onions. Then add chillies and Fry till they turn light brown in colour.

Add Peas. Fry for 2-5 minutes.

Now add Rice, water and salt. Stir well.

Now Pressure cook in medium flame. Remove from flame after 1 - 2 whistles.

Add grated carrot now and stir well. (Carrot need not be cooked).

Now Pulao is ready. Serve with Onion Raitha or any Curry .
