Easy Pickled Crab Apples Recipe
Ingredients
| 12 qt. yellow crab apples | ||
| Cinnamon stick | 1 1 Ounce, broken | |
| Whole Cloves | 1/2 Ounce | |
| Sugar | 12 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cider vinegar | 6 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 8 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Wash the crab apples and pack into sterilized quart jars.
Divide the stick cinnamon and whole cloves among the jars.
Combine the sugar, vinegar and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Cover the apples with boiling syrup.
Place the lids and rings on the jars and process in a boiling water bath for 18 to 20 minutes or until skins on crab apples begin to break.
