Easy One Pot Macaroni And Cheese Recipe
Ingredients
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Dijon mustard
Salt and cayenne pepper
2 cups elbow macaroni
Directions
1. In a large saucepan, whisk flour with 1/4 cup (50 mL) of the milk to make a smooth paste; stir in remaining milk until smooth. Place over medium heat; cook, stirring, until mixture comes to a boil and thickens. Reduce heat to low; stir in cheeses and mustard. Cook, stirring, until melted. Season with salt and a pinch of cayenne pepper to taste; keep warm.
2. Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until tender but firm. Drain well; stir into cheese mixture. Cook for 1 minute or until sauce coats the pasta.
