Easy Nutted Brown Rice Recipe
Easy nutted brown rice is a nut filled rice recipe. Cooked with either pecan or walnut pieces, the easy nutted rice can be prepared in broth for added flavor.
Ingredients
1 1/3 cups low sodium chicken broth or water
1/2 cup brown rice
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons chopped pecans or walnuts
1 1/2 teaspoons unsalted margarine
Directions
In a medium size heavy saucepan over moderately high heat, bring the chicken brotl to a boil.
Stir in the rice and pepper, then reduce the heat so that the broth bubbles gently.
Cover and cook for 45 minutes or unti the rice is tender.
Stir in the pecans and margarine and serve.
