Directions
Grease an 8-inch square cake pan.
Combine the milk, sugar, and salt in a heavy saucepan.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Simmer, stirring, 5 minutes.
Remove from the heat and add the hazelnuts, chocolate chips, and liqueur if using.
Stir until the chocolate has completely melted.
Quickly pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly.
Let cool.
When set, cut into 1-inch squares.
Store in an airtight container, separated by layers of wax paper.
