Easy Cordon Bleu Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 large chicken breasts, boned and halved | ||
| 4 thin slices ham | ||
| Cheese pieces | 4 | |
| Butter/Margarine | 4 Tablespoon | |
| 1 teaspoon lemon herb-seasoned salt | ||
| 1/2 cup grated Swiss cheese | ||
Directions
Place each boned and halved chicken breast between two sheets of waxed paper.
Flatten by pounding with a mallet.
On each piece place a slice of ham and piece of cheese.
Pull up sides of chicken and cover ham and cheese.
Secure with a wooden toothpick.
Place butter in a 9-inch round glass baking dish.
Microwave at HIGH 30 seconds or to melt.
Add seasoned salt.
Carefully place chicken pieces in the seasoned butter.
Spoon butter over chicken.
Cover with waxed paper.
Microwave at HIGH 2 minutes.
Spoon liquid over chicken.
Cover with waxed paper.
Microwave at MEDIUM 7 to 8 minutes.
Sprinkle grated cheese over chicken.
Microwave at MEDIUM 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Let stand, covered, 3 to 5 minutes.
Serve with liquid.
