Easy Apple Coffee Cake Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 lb. loaf frozen bread dough, thawed | ||
| Margarine | 2 Teaspoon, melted | |
| 1/4 cup granulated brown sugar | ||
| All purpose flour | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Ground cinnamon | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground nutmeg | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Grated apple | 2 Cup (16 tbs), peeled | |
Directions
Divide bread dough in half.
Roll each half into an 8 in. (20 cm) square.
Place each square on a greased cookie sheet.
Brush with melted margarine.
Combine brown sugar replacement, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl.
Stir to mix.
Add grated apple and toss to coat apple.
Spoon one half of the apple mixture down the middle of each square.
Cut 2 in. (5 cm) strips down two of the sides, towards the apple filling, about 1 in. (2.5 cm) apart.
Fold strips alternately, overlapping the filling.
Cover and allow coffeecake to rise until double in size.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.
