East Prussian Honey Cakes Recipe

1)In a pan, melt butter with honey and sugar. Cool.
2)In a bowl, beat together sifted flour, 2 eggs, spices and mix to form firm dough.
3)Roll out into ½ inch thick.
4)Take a greased tin and smooth the top.
5)Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle almonds and lemon peel as decorations.
6)Bake in a moderate heat for about 30 minutes.
7)Let it cool a bit and the cut.
8)Remove the cake from cold.
9)Serve the east Prussian honey cakes when desired.
Beat in the sifted flour, 2 eggs, spices and mix well to a firm dough.
Roll out, put in a greased tin and smooth the top.
It should be about 1/2" thick.
Brush with beaten egg, decorate with almonds and lemon peel.
Bake in a moderate oven for about 30 minutes.
Allow to cool slightly before cutting.
However, be certain to remove from tin before cold.
