Dutch Mulberry & Apple Flan Recipe
This scrumptious Dutch mulberry and apple flan is indeed a great way to treat your taste-buds. Perfect to go for special occasions, devour in this recipe!
Ingredients
5 oz. biscuit-crust
pastry
2 oz. ripe mulberries
1/4-tspn. cinnamon
rind of 1 orange
11/2-lbs. cookingapples
4 tspns. orange juice
2 oz. sugar
1 oz. butter
Directions
Line a 7" flan with the pastry.
Prick bottom over with a fork.
Arrange peeled, cored, quar- tered and thinly sliced apples in circles over the bottom with mulberries round edge and in centre; sprinkle each layer of apple with sugar, cinnamon and orange rind and juice.
Top with sugar and flakes of butter.
Bake for 30 - 40 minutes, until apple is tender, at 425" F.
Serve with whipped cream.
