Dutch Cottage Cheese Pie Recipe
Here's the Dutch Cottage Cheese Pie at its very best! A combination of fully hearty ingredients make this Dutch Cottage Cheese Pie incredibly delicious. Of course, it's surprisingly easy to make!
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups creamed cottage cheese
3 eggs
11/4 teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons molasses
1/2* teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 cup heavy cream
4 tablespoons flour
6 well-drained canned peach halves
1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
Directions
Sieve or beat cottage cheese until smooth.
Add and thor- oughly beat in eggs one at a time.
Blend in salt, molasses, cinnamon, sugar, lemon juice and cream.
Sprinkle half of the flour over the cut sides of the peach halves.
Add remaining flour to cottage cheese mixture and mix until smooth.
Place floured peach halves, cut side down, in bottom of pie shell, allowing a whole half for each pie serving.
Pour in cottage cheese filling carefully.
Bake pie in a moderate oven (350°F.), about 50 minutes or until a silver knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
