Dutch Apple Cake Recipe
Ingredients
| Sugar | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Soft margarine | 8 Tablespoon | |
| Cake flour | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 2 | |
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Lemon extract | 5 Drop | |
| 3 apples €” peeled and cored and sliced thin | ||
| 2 tsp. sugar mixed with | ||
| Cinnamon | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Directions
1. Stir margarine and sugar until creamy and light.
2. Add eggs, one at a time and mix well.
3. Add sifted dry ingredients and beat well.
4. Add lemon extract.
5. Pour batter in a greased and floured spring form.
6. Place apple slices neatly in rows on top, and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
7. Bake at 375° for 45 minutes.
