Sauce:
 
2-10 ounce tins black cherries
 
1/2 cup brown sugar
 
1/2 cup red wine
 
3 tablespoons cornstarch
 
Water
 
2 teaspoons lemon juice

Directions

In a saucepan boil together black cherries, brown sugar and red wine.
Make a paste of cornstarch, water and lemon juice.
Stir into cherry sugar mixture and boil gently until thick and clear.
Pour over duckling in casserole dish and bake at 325 degree F for 30 minutes; then carefully slip under broiler until bubbling.
