Dry Roasted Soybeans Recipe
Ingredients
| Preheat oven to 350°F. | ||
| Soybeans | 1 Cup (16 tbs), dried | |
| Water | 3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Wash soybeans and remove any foreign particles.
Add three cups of water to soybeans and soak overnight in refrigerator.
Pour soybeans and liquid used for soaking in a large, heavy saucepan.
Add more water to cover.
Place over medium heat and bring to a boil; lower heat and add salt, cover, and simmer one hour. (If desired, one half teaspoon oil may be added to soybeans to keep mixture from boiling over.)
Remove saucepan from heat and drain soybeans thoroughly; (reserve liquid for soup).
Pour into a shallow pan and bake in a preheated 350°F. oven for 45 minutes to one hour or until soybeans are brown.
Remove from oven and sprinkle with salt while warm.
