Dry Dates Pickle Recipe
Dry dates pickle is a savory and flavorful pickle made with khajoo or dried dates. Spiced with aniseeds, coriander powder and cumin to taste, the dry dates pickle is sealed with lemon juice and is set to mature for a week.
Ingredients
Dry dates (Khajoor) 250 gms
lied chilli pepper 1 tsp
Coriander powder 5tsp
Aniseed powder 5tsp
White cumin powder 2 tsp
Lemon juice 3/4 or 1 cup
Salt as per taste ,
Directions
1) Tender the dates by boiling for a while and drain the water.
2) Make them dry with clean cloth and remove the seeds keeping them whole.
3) Mix properly the powdered spices with salt and stuff the dates with them.
4) Put the dates in a jar and pour lemon juice and salt in it and mix it thoroughly so that every date gets covered with lemon juice.
5) Keep the jar for at least 7 days and shake it every alternative day.
