Drop Sugar Cookies Recipe
Drop Sugar Cookies is easy to make cookies. Drop Sugar Cookies gets its taste from flour mixed with vanilla and milk. Drop Sugar Cookies is loved by kids.
Ingredients
1/3 cup CRISCO® Vegetable Oil
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 egg
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup skim milk
Colored sugar crystals (optional)
Directions
Heat oven to 400°F.
Oil baking sheet lightly.
Combine 1/3 cup Crisco® Oil, sugar and vanilla in large bowl.
Add egg.
Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until blended.
Stir in flour, salt and baking soda with spoon until mixture is smooth.
Add milk.
Stir until well blended.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto baking sheet.
Flatten with bottom of lightly oiled glass.
Sprinkle with additional granulated sugar or colored sugar crystals, if desired.
Bake at 400°F for 6 to 8 minutes or until just barely brown around edges.
Remove to cooling rack.

This recipe was like powder until I added a bit more milk; then it was a sticky mess. They're in the oven right now.. Hopefully it was worth the time.

I had the same problem, I think they were really too dry and crumbly. I didn't add more milk I added 4 TBS of soft butter/margerine. Then added M&M's and they turned out wonderful.

Hey, actually these are supposed to be low fat cookies so add butter or margarine if your not fussy about the fat content. Ideally when your dough is too crumbly, you can add teaspoon by teaspoon of milk and mix quickly and lightly with a spatula. Increase the oil content when making the dough.
