Drop Biscuit Or Madison Biscuit Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 1/2 lbs. Irish potatoes | ||
| Sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1 yeast cake dissolved in 1/2 cup lukewarm water | ||
| Flour | 2 Quart | |
| 3 eggs or 6 yolks | ||
| 5 ozs. shortening | ||
Directions
Boil potatoes until done; mash, add 5 ounces shortening; add a little flour to cool potatoes.
Add other ingredients.
The dough should be about the consistency of loaf-bread dough.
Let rise, drop with a spoon far apart in pans.
Let rise again and bake.
