Dreamy Date Nut Bars Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter | 4 Tablespoon, softened | |

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, beat butter, 1/2 cup flour, and 1/4 cup brown sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until blended. Press into an ungreased 8-inch square pan. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, until edges brown.
2. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, beat egg with an electric mixer on medium speed until fluffy. Add remaining 1 cup brown sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Blend in vanilla, remaining 1 tablespoon flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in dates, walnuts, and coconut.
3. Spread date-nut topping over warm crust and return to oven. Bake 15 to 20 minutes, or until topping is set and lightly browned. Remove pan to a rack and let cool completely before cutting into 24 bars.
