Dove Breasts Recipe
Ingredients
| 12 to 18 dove breasts | ||
| Onion | 1 Medium, diced | |
| 1 can cream of mushroom soup | ||
| Sherry | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Pinch of oregano | ||
| Pinch of crushed rosemary | ||
| Sour cream | 1/2 Pint | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Place dove breasts, meaty side down, in 15 x 12-inch baking dish.
Do not overcrowd.
Saute onion in small amount of fat in skillet.
Mix onion, soup, sherry, herbs, salt and pepper.
Pour over dove breasts; cover baking dish lightly with foil.
Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour, turning occasionally.
Add sour cream; stir.
Bake for about 20 minutes longer.
