Cut in shortening until mixture resembles dry cornmeal.
Add Sourdough Starter and enough milk to form soft dough that cleans sides of bowl.
Knead lightly 6 times.
Pat or roll dough to 1/2 inch thick.
Cut into biscuits, using 2 1/2 inch biscuit cutter.
Fry doughnuts in preheated 360Â°F grease 1 1/2 minutes or until golden brown.
Drain; sprinkle with granulated sugar
