Double Ka Meetha Recipe
an ultimate, delicate dessert with easily available ingredients
Ingredients
| Milk | 1 Liter | |
| Ghee | 100 Gram | |
| Water | 250 Milliliter | |
| Silver leaf | 1 (to garnish) | |
| Milk bread slices/Brown bread slices | 6 (sides cut) | |
| Cardamom powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Saffron | 1 Gram | |
| Nuts | 50 Gram, slivered | |
| Sugar | 100 Gram |
Directions
soak the bread in water for 2 minutes
boil ther milk & simmer it till it is reduced to half
add saffron to it & keep aside
make a sugar syrup of sugar with water
in a wok heat ghee
squeeze the bread with your palms till almost all of the water is squeezed out
add the squeezed bread to the ghee & cardamom powder
keep it stirring and do not allow to stick at the bottom of wok
add the sugar syrup to it when the colouris slightly brown
cook till the mixture is thickened to dripping consistancy
now add the milk with saffron
cook further till it gains the same dropping consistancy
serve hot or cold garnished with slivered nuts And silver leaves
