Double Butterscotch Brownies Recipe
Ingredients
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans
1 (6-ounce) package butterscotch pieces
Directions
Lightly grease and flour an 8-inch square, heat-resistant, non-metallic baking dish.
Place butter in a medium-sized, heat-resistant, non-metallic bowl and heat on full power 30 seconds or until melted.
Mix in brown sugar, egg, salt, flour, baking powder and vanilla until smooth.
Stir in pecans.
Pour batter into prepared baking dish.
Heat, uncovered, on roast for 5 to 6 minutes.
Place butterscotch pieces in a small, heat-resistant, non-metallic bowl and heat on roast for 2 minutes.
Spread melted butterscotch pieces over brownies.
When cool, cut into bars.
