Double Strawberry Delight Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and divided | ||
| 1/2 cup low-sugar strawberry spread | ||
| Cornstarch | 2 Teaspoon | |
| 2 tablespoons unsweetened orange juice | ||
| Orange rind | 1 Tablespoon, grated | |
| 2 tablespoons sliced natural almonds, roasted | ||
Directions
Place 1 cup strawberries in container of an electric blender; top with cover, and process until smooth.
Combine puree and strawberry spread in a 1-quarr baking dish.
Microwave, uncovered, atr HIGH for 2 to 3 minutes or until mixture begins to boil.
Combine cornstarch and orange juice, stirring until smooh.
Stir orange juice mixture into strawberry mixture.
Microwave, uncovered, at HIGH for 2 minutes or until thickened; stir in orange rind.
Cover and chill.
Place remaining 3 cups strawberries in a large bowl.
Pour strawberry sauce over berries, tossing gently.
To serve, spoon mixture evenly into individual dessert dishes.
